3 Social Media Mistakes Costing Your Beauty Business Money

Over the last 20 years, I have seen great changes on the internet streets and with how we use social media for our businesses.

algorithms change what feels like EVERY DAY on Instagram. It has always been rumored that Facebook is not friendly to business pages in terms of visibility.

most of us in the beauty and grooming industry have added at least one more job on our resumé: photographers, videographers, editors, etc.

In all the hustle and bustle, taking on these additional roles HAS also left us high and dry monetarily.

here are 3 common mistakes that beauty and grooming professionals MAKE ON SOCIAL MEDIA trying to grow their business.

1) The business profile is incomplete.

your dream clients have no information to click on, call, or dm to schedule an appointment. This is an easy way to lose out on thousands. Examples:

  • $150 cornrow extensions x 3 potential clients missed = $450 x 3 days/week = $1350/wk x 4 wks/month = $5,400/month

  • $85 luxury haircuts x 6 potential clients missed = $510 x 3 day/week = $1530/wk x 4 wks/month = $6,120/month

2) Captions are lacking substance.

after all that work you put into filming and editing, you post your press on nails, and you leave off your caption.

Your dream clients do not know what they are looking at, nor did you tell them how to purchase.

So they continue to scroll through their timeline.

3) You avoid conversation.

your potential client has dm’d you, like you asked…

but you’re not replying. 😩

Stop lying to your dream clients!!!

if you’re too lazy to reply, you’re too lazy to provide them with services.

balancing your internet presence and working doesn’t have to be hard.

you’re just missing a system.
